Terms & Conditions Mountain Ash House


o 50% of the full accommodation price is payable upfront to secure a booking. The remaining 50% is required no later than two months prior to the clients stay.
o In addition, a separate breakages deposit bank transfer of £1000 is required no later than one month prior to the clients stay. Breakages will be re-issued within 4 weeks of departure if no damage occurs. The house manager will conduct a thorough check after a client’s departure.
o Bank transfer to current account for accommodation and any extra package payments (use your name/invoice number as a reference). Breakages deposit goes to a separate breakages account. Please email enquiries@weatherstonehouse.co.uk for bank information.
o Weatherstone House also has a pay pal account but due to charges have to add 4% to the actual value being transferred if you wish to use this payment method. Please use this link to make payment using your name as a reference paypal.me/ForterCastle.


o 25% deposit is refunded if six months cancellation notice is given prior to your arrival date after this time no refund is given.
o In light of Covid-19 if the government prevents travel you will in the first instance be given credit towards another available date within one year of your intended stay failing this we would refund your deposit.
o If an emergency call-out is made and no fault found you will be charged £25 per hour.
o £250 will automatically be deducted from the deposit if the house is not left as clean and tidy as it was found, this includes washing up all your dishes, cups, and putting back into cupboards i.e. please leave as closely as you found the house.
o Terms and conditions must be signed and returned prior to checking into Weatherstone House.
o Any type of breakages will be charged against your deposit.
o The owner has the right to cancel and issue a refund to any client that does not agree to the terms and conditions as set out.


o Check-in must take place anytime after 5pm and check out at 9 am. If you require a different time please contact us.
o Due to Covid-19 we will now be sending a virtual guide to checking in and a code to access the key safe located at the rear of the property.
o The lead booking person must check-in or provide clear contact information for the person checking in.
o £250 is taken from your breakages deposit if you do not check out by 9am unless pre-arranged.
o Please note we have now have to be much more thorough with changeovers between clients departing and arriving so later check-outs are not allowed unless pre-arranged.


o The overall accommodation price is for 4 bedrooms that will sleep 8-10 people comfortably, we can upon request provide cots for babies.
o Due to coronavirus please ensure a maximum of two separate households only should ever be on-site or stay at the house.
o Weatherstone House has two parking spaces only if you require further parking you would need to park in the public car park nearby costing approximately £5 per day.
o Please do not park opposite the house or outside the adjoining property as your car may be towed away and is not allowed.
o No dogs are allowed unless pre-arranged. You will lose your entire deposit if dogs are proven to be on site.
o Prices are available and up to date on www.weatherstonehouse.co.uk website. *Prices do not include Christmas, New Year and special events or occasions and are subject to change.
o Do not smoke anywhere in the house. If this is proven to have happened, your full deposit will be automatically withheld for dry cleaning purposes.
o Please do not put cups or glasses onto the furniture – please use coasters. Any marks on the furniture will be charged.
o Any type of breakages will be charged against your deposit.
o Any items, including ornaments, albums, c.d’s, d.v.d’s, games, kitchen equipment etc. are checked against our inventory. If anything is found missing or damaged after your departure, the cost of replacing, as a whole will be charged.
o Bookings cannot be accepted by any person under 21. The person who is named as hiring the property is responsible for actions of all persons entering throughout the duration of the hire period.
o Any deposit is non-refundable in the event of cancellation regardless of reason up to six months before check-in.
o We take no responsibility of excessive weather conditions causing the inability to travel to the house.
o The owner reserves the right to decline any booking or refuse to hand over the key to any person who has not complied with the booking conditions.
o The person checking in must be the same as the person who signs the terms and conditions and is named on the booking sheet. If not the house manager has the right to refuse entry unless agreed prior to check-in with the owner/manager.
o Terms and conditions must be signed and returned prior to checking.
o A jacuzzi is available if you pay a £90 supplement and can be used at your own risk. Children should not be allowed in the jacuzzi and if you choose they must be supervised by parents at all times.
o An open wood burning fire is available to use at your own risk.
o A pizza oven and egg bbq are available to use at your own risk.
o Please note the sink has a “sinkartor” which sometimes does trip please re-set to avoid the main kitchen sink from blocking. A call out to unblock this sink is charged against your breakages if the trip switch is found to be the problem.
o Please remove shoes when entering the property.
o Please do not enter the property with a wetsuit or bathing suit on. We have an outdoor shower/dunk tank and hanging facilities for all outdoor wet clothing.
o Please do not alter/tamper with heat settings this is done remotely. If you have any issue with heating during your stay please contact us.


o The house rent includes heating (under floor & Storage heaters), gas and electricity.
o Weatherstone House has a large washer and dryer for guest use located at the rear of the property in the outdoor shower.
o Logs, fire lighters and matches are provided.
o Hair dryers are provided.
o Iron and ironing board are provided.


o We aim to ensure a clean and Covid-19 free environment awaits all guests. We conduct a full changeover and deep clean between guests but cannot be held liable for any guest contracting Covid-19 or something similar whilst staying in our property. It is an unfortunate situation and risk that all guests must take responsibility for whilst staying at our home.
o If you develop symptoms and ultimately test positive for Covid-19 within 14 days before, during or after your stay you must inform us.
o We cannot allow guests to self-isolate at Weatherstone House.
o If you or anyone in your party unfortunately develop any symptoms please refer to the latest government / medical advice.
o Bath towels, beach towels, tea towels and dish cloths – during Covid-19 we will not provide these items.
o Hand washing liquid and hand cream – during Covid-19 we will not be providing this
o Towels – during Covid-19 we ask that you bring your own towels for house and beach use. We also recommend that you bring pillow covers. We will however be fully changing and of course thoroughly laundry cleaning bed linen between guests. We believe it would be wise to bring these items during the pandemic.
o The amount of people and the number of households allowed to come to Weatherstone House will be in part dictated by the government advice at that time. As of 24TH June 2020 the government advise only 2 households to meet indoors which works well for most groups coming to our house. If in doubt please ask us at the time of booking.
Important Note*

Weatherstone House is a private home with extremely sentimental and in some cases very valuable items. Please ensure that items are not moved, damaged or taken during your stay.
